Yes, pinball machines have batteries, and they need to be changed regularly. They get old, split open and cause alkaline corrosion, that many times is fatal to the very expensive circuit boards inside. Some can be repaired, but many will need to be replaced. Both options are costly and can be avoided by $1 worth of AAs. Don’t let your board be the next one on my workbench!
